Does laser hair reduction hurt?

It feels like a quick snap of a rubber band against the skin. It is generally much faster and less painful than getting a wax.

Can I shave between sessions?

Yes! Shaving is the only approved method of hair removal between your laser appointments. Just avoid plucking, waxing, or using chemical hair removal creams.

Is laser hair reduction safe?

Yes. When performed by trained medical professionals using FDA-cleared technology appropriate for your skin type, it is a highly safe procedure with decades of proven clinical data.

Can men get laser hair reduction?

Absolutely. We see many male patients who want to reduce the thickness of hair on their chest, back, or neck, or sculpt their beard line to prevent chronic razor bumps.

Can I wear makeup afterward?

If you had your face treated, we recommend waiting 24 hours before applying makeup to avoid clogging the open, sensitized follicles. If you must wear it sooner, use clean brushes and a mineral-based formula.

How long does it take to see results?

You will notice the hairs from your first session shedding and falling out about 1 to 3 weeks after the treatment. Significant, visible reduction usually becomes obvious after your third session.

What happens if I skip an appointment?

Timing is crucial. Lasers only effectively damage hair that is in the active growth phase (the anagen phase). If you wait too long between sessions, you may miss the growth cycle of a batch of hair, which prolongs your overall treatment timeline.

Can I get a laser treatment while pregnant?

No. While there is no definitive evidence showing it is harmful to a baby, standard medical protocol advises against performing elective laser procedures on pregnant women.

Will it work on grey or white hair?

No. The laser specifically targets pigment. Grey, white, and light blonde hairs lack the pigment necessary to absorb the laser energy.

Is the hair gone forever?

We achieve an 80% to 90% permanent reduction in hair growth. The few hairs that do occasionally grow back are usually much finer, lighter, and easier to manage. You may just need a single quick touch-up session once a year or every few years to maintain perfect smoothness.
